Brief Description

Gear LLC has evening shift Direct Hire CNC Machining Technician opportunities for a Global Leader in engineering and manufacturing Automotive systems. Starting pay $22.37 (includes $1.00 shift premium). Regular Pay increases! Earn up to $23.92 in as little as 9 months! Benefits at 30 days! ! Job Overview:

Operates manufacturing equipment and participates in the machining of components to produce high quality finished goods that meet or exceed customer’s specification. Maintains equipment keeps production line running and fixes short stops; and performs quality checks using calipers, height gauges and other digital gauges.

Essential Duties:

• Follow standard work for each operation and produce quality parts.

• Must produce standard quantities upon completion of training.

• Inspect all safety equipment prior to production start-up.

• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.

• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

• Perform minor preventative machine maintenance such as oiling machines and do all necessary cleaning on equipment and work area.

• Able to work in a fast paced team environment without direct supervision.

• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

• Flexible to work in any area of the operation.

• Willing and able to work any shift.

• Ability to work overtime is an essential function of the position.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Recent CNC/Machining Experience

• Communication Skills

• Mathematical Skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

• Reasoning Ability – ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Must complete a blueprint workbook.

• Successful completion of Client's Technician Certification Program.

Summary

Performs machine repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance within a manufacturing facility. Pay increases with earning potential up to $30.00+/hour based upon skill set.

Essential Duties:

Individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
• Inspect all safety equipment prior to use.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Acquire knowledge and ability to make electrical and mechanical repairs to equipment, use maintenance shop equipment, hand tools and computers.
• Able to work in a fast paced team environment without direct supervision.
• Must complete First Responder Training (including First Aid, CPR and Blood-borne Pathogens).
• Other duties as assigned.
